Anthony Joshua to face Deontay Wilder in 2018

Talks are ongoing for the much anticipated fight between the two world heavyweight champions which is confirmed to be fought in 2018

After Wilder’s last fight against Canadian Bermane Stiverne, the WBC Heavyweight Champion could no longer hide his utmost desire to face British WBA, IBF and IBO heavyweight titles.

However, Eddie Hearn has confirmed that a bout will take place between the two boxers in 2018 but talks are being held to know where and when that fight will ensue.

Eddie Hearn also warned that a middle ground between fantasy and reality will need to be found in order to strike a perfect deal for the fight.

Talks between both camps have commenced and the date and venue of a possible world heavyweight unification fight would be confirmed soon.

Both fighters have remarkable fighting records with Anthony Joshua having 20 fights and 20 wins with all of them by way of knockout.

Wilder on the other hand has won all 39 fights under his belt with one fight against his last opponent in 2015 going by way of unanimous decision.

Eddie Hearn dropped the hint that the major problem in the fight is that the negotiations in itself will be a clash of egos but the promoters will be willing to over pay Wilder for the fight to go on in 2018.
