Nigerian oil company to sponsor the Black Stars

Aiteo has expressed interest in sponsoring the senior male national football team of Ghana.

This move follows the cancellation of the sponsorship deal between the Black Stars and the Ghana National Petroleum (GNPC), hence the need to get a new deal to boost their finances.

Aiteo has been making headways in African football, having signed a five year deal with the Nigerian Football Federation worth $8.2 million (7.5 million euros) to pay its national team coaches and are the headline sponsors of the African Footballer of the Year awards gala set for January 4 in Accra, Ghana.
