Ghana Black Stars to bag $455,000 from Mexico/USA friendly

The Black Stars will be $455,000 richer for participating in the double header against Mexico and USA.

The Minister for Youth and Sports, Isaac Asiama disclosed in an interview with the media that the Black Stars will cash $130,00  from their game against El Tri of Mexico and will be paid $325,000 against the United States of America.

The Minister added that he will be looking forward for the management team of the senior male national football team of Ghana to declare the monies involved when they return from the United States of America.

The Black Stars lost 0-1 against Mexico on Wednesday in Houston, Texas and will face off against regular customers in recent times, the United States of America on Saturday July 1 in Connecticut.

Meanwhile, James Kwesi Appiah is facing issues with his squad after Jonathan Mensah and Harrison Afful were asked by their club, Columbus Crew to return for a league clash on Saturday. The coach had earlier lost the services of his three players in the English Premier League because their clubs didn't permit them to travel to the USA with the team.
