Ghanaian football loving fans believe

Asamoah Gyan wasted a penalty kick against the U.S last week Saturday in an international friendly.

In the 18-yard box and Asamoah Gyan who stepped forward for the resultant penalty kick saw his kick saved by the goalkeeper.

The 31-year-old came under intense criticisms after he missed a penalty kick against Zambia in the 2012  Africa Cup of Nations semis.

Also one spot kick that Ghanaians are probably yet to forgive Gyan for missing is the one he missed in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

He took a decision not to take spot kicks for the Black Stars again and had since stood to his grounds until the Saturday friendly game against U.S.

US had taken the lead earlier before the penalty call. The Yankees doubled their lead in the second half, before Asamoah Gyan scored a world class free kick to redeem his image. The game ended 2-1 in favour of the host, USA.
