Andre Ayew scores a belter to win game for Swansea

Andre Ayew won a penalty and scored the winner for Swnasea City in their Premier League game against Everton

The beginning of a new beginning. The sight of a new manager at the Liberty Stadium seems to be the shining light at the end of a horrible lack of wining tunnel.

Swansea City started their Premier League season with so much hope but asking for two wins in a row from the Welsh club in recent weeks seemed far-fetched.

Their horrible run of form has seem them fervently battling at the bottom of the league table in a bid to salvage a crumbling season.

Aside their poor performance on the pitch, Swansea City have had to deal with off pitch matters of keeping hands off arguably their best player of the season and top scorer Andre Ayew.

The determination to keep the Ghanaian at the Liberty Stadium at least for the second half of this season proved legit as the former Olympique Marseille player inspired a battling win for his Swansea City side against Everton on Sunday.

Going into the game at the back of a win against Watford, Swansea managed to record their third win in thirteen fixtures, twice taking the lead and holding on for all three point.

Andre Ayew capitalized on a mistake from the Everton defence to win a penalty for his side after Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard brought the Ghanaian down in the box.

Gylfi Sigurdsson stepped up to put away side Swansea City one nil up by burring the penalty kick in the top corner of the net.

A poor defending from Andre Ayew’s side saw home team Everton equalize from a corner kick nine minutes later as Gareth Barry’s touch sneaked into the far post via a Jack Cork deflection.

Andre Ayew scored a belter to put Swansea City back in the lead going into the first half interval. Neither side were able to find the back of the net in the second half with Everton pressing hard and controlling possession for most part of the second 45 minutes.

The win for Swansea City in the ended recorded as their first back to back win for the entire season.

Andre Ayew was replaced by Eder in the 89th minute of the game.
