Seven persons have been injured after a crash involving seven vehicles at Okponglo Traffic Light Junction in Accra.

The accident occurred after the brakes of a trailer failed, running into commercial vehicles stuck in traffic.

Images showed the mangled wreckage of several of the vehicles involved, with debris strewn across the road.

The seven vehicles were reported to be badly damaged while a taxi driver narrowly escaped death when a container on the trailer fell onto his taxi.

The accident led to massive traffic on the Okponglo stretch of the road until the police arrived at the scene to ensure law and order.
