DR Congo have trailed their opponents in all their three games in group C of the 2017 AFCON, yet they end up getting the better of ties.
They won two games and drew one, but in all those matches their opponents controlled the game, but they were more dangerous upfront.
Among the 16 nations that appeared in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations they had the lowest ball possession in the group stage.
The Leopards had 41% ball possession against Morocco, 49% against Togo and 41% in their clash with the Ivoirians, which is an average of 43.6%
Yet still DR Congo scored six goals in the group stage, so tied with Senegal and Tunisia as the highest scoring sides in the group stage.
They also have the leading topscorer in the tournament, Junior Kananga with three goals, having scored in every single game.
DR Congo’s threat is their strength and power, coupled with their swift counter attacking play.
