Corey Oates helped himself to a double as Brisbane Broncos returned to form with a 30-10 win that all-but ends sorry South Sydney Rabbitohs' slim hopes of reaching the NRL finals.
The Broncos had lost six of their previous eight matches before heading to ANZ Stadium on Saturday, but outscored the Bunnies by five tries to two to secure a first victory in three and take a stride towards sealing a top-eight finish.
South Sydney were low on confidence after losing five in a row and Wayne Bennett's side took advantage, with Lachlan Maranta going over in the corner for an early try.
A converted Luke Keary try brought Michael Maguire's men level, but the Broncos responded with scores from Ben Hunt and Oates converted by Jordan Kahu to put the visitors 18-6 to the good at the break.
