A convener of the group Owula Mangortey said they are hopeful President Mahama will evoke article 72 of the constitution when continuous pressure is mounted .

Pressure has been mounting on President Mahama to exercise his prerogative powers of mercy to get the Montie trio released from jail.

Mangortey who is also a traditionalist from Shai-Osudoku said they expect “to see and will see Mugabe, Ako Gunn and Alistair walking the streets of Accra within the next few days.”

Some NDC sympathisers have vowed not to vote for the governing party if they do not get the three men released.

The slogan of the pressure group is “Evil Triumphs When Good Men Keep Silent.”

In a related development, the Research and Advocacy Platform (RAP) is taking signatures for a petition to force President Mahama to exercise his powers.
