The Black Stars coach travelled to Europe on Wednesday night following approval from the Ghana Football Association.
Grant’s assistant Maxwell Konadu will take over monitoring duties in the local leagues until the Israeli returns where he will take over monitoring duties here in Ghana and support activities of the other national teams.
Avram Grant’s stay in the country since his appointment as manager of the Ghana senior men’s football team has been a subject of debate.
The former Chelsea coach overstayed his last leave with the Ghana Football Association having to send him a letter to return to post ahead of the Black Stars 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying games against Mozambique.
The incident coupled with the Ghana media insisting the Black Stars coach do some monitoring here in Ghana did not go down well with Grant who in an interview after Ghana’s 3-1 win against Mozambique said the nation could go far if they focus on football development and not the ‘bulls**t’.
Avram Grant later in an interview said he meant no harm with the comments and love Ghanaians and Ghana football, however there is no need to apologize.
The Ghana Football Association appointed Avram Grant as head coach of the Black Stars after Kwesi Appiah was sacked following his time with the team at the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament in Brazil.
Grant led Ghana to the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations finals where they were beaten by eventual winners Ivory Coast on penalties.
