Freak accident causes power outage in Abofu and environs

A freak accident involving eight cars has led to a power outage that has affected many homes and business in Abofu, Achimota and its environs in Accra.

The accident which occurred at about 7 pm at Abofu Junction involved a heavy duty truck, loaded with imported cement, several saloon cars and a 207 Benz bus.

Two people have been injured and several properties including container stores and electric poles have been destroyed.
The Ghana National Fire Service and the police have arrived at the scene to allow the free flow of traffic and protect citizens of the area.
