The president made the call when he interacted with the Ambassador of Qatar to Ghana, H.E. Mohammed Jaber Al- Kuwari at the Flagstaff House on Monday at a ceremony to receive his credentials as the first Qatari Ambassador to Ghana.

Nana Akufo-Addo said that information available indicates that the people of Qatar have consistently ill-treated Ghanaians who travel to their country for various reasons.

Many Ghanaians are allegedly being subjected to slavery in the Gulf State in their quest to seek greener pastures, and Nana Akufo-Addo believes that the situation must end.
