The case was adjourned after a representative for the prosecutor in the case, C/Inspt, Hannah Acheampong, pleaded with the court presided over by Mary Nsenkyire for an adjournment because the prosecutor, ACP Okyere Darko, was on leave.

All the 13 suspects and their lawyer, Matthew Appiah, were in court today [Thursday, July 13, 2017], amidst tight security.

The court at a previous hearing had adjourned the case to today, July 13 because the Attorney General advised that they conduct further investigations into the case.

The 13 were arrested after they allegedly chased the Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator out of his office and reportedly assaulted him in the process.

They have been charged with conspiracy to commit crime, assault of a public officer, causing unlawful damage, and rioting.
