The supporters in front of Nana Ado's house, including the party's security, that is the Invisible Forces, have vowed to stay on until they are asked to leave by party leadership.

There has been heightened tension between the NPP and the BNI after the arrest of the three ex-South African police officers who were found allegedly training a group of young men on weapon handling among others.

According to the state, the activities of the three pose a security threat to the country, but the NPP has denied, adding that the three are only in the country to train the security of the party's flagbearer ahead of the 2016 elections.

The three were arraigned before court on Thursday and granted bail, but they are still in BNI custody, a situation the NPP describes as a violation of the rights of the three ex-police officers.
