A Malaysian magician has met his untimely death after a “human steaming” ritual went wrong.
According to reports the 68-year-old man sat on top of a bubbling wok and was covered with a giant metal lid.

Lim Ba reportedly suffered a heart attack and burns during the elaborate ceremony performed during the Nine Emperor Gods festival at a Chinese temple.
About 30 minutes after the experienced magician sat on the fire, witnesses heard him bang the metal pot apparently calling for help.
Police chief Mohd Ismail Ibrahim said Mr. Lim's son, who watched on with other devotees, "saw the lid moving".

After seeing his father die, the magician’s son said "My father went through a heart operation last year. I didn't think this ceremony would be his last."
