President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has terminated the appointment of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of <a href="https://www.pulse.com.gh/news/politics/galamsey-you-didnt-care-were-fighting-it-npp-tells-mahama/ycsze18">Tarkwa-Nsuaem</a> Municipal Assembly, Gilbert Ken Asmah.

The MCE was sacked after he was alleged to have dabbled in chieftaincy matters, illegal mining popularly known as galamsey and other intra-party conflicts in his constituency.

Benjamin Kessie, former Presiding Member for Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality has been nominated by the President to take over from Asmah.
