Two people have been hospitalised following a fire outbreak at terminal one restaurant of the Kotoka International Airport.
The incident occurred on Thursday morning has injured two people.
According to an eye witness, the fire is likely to be caused by a leaking gas from the kitchen of the restaurant (unconfirmed).
Meanwhile, The Ghana Airport Company Limited (GACL) in a statement has assured the general public that operations at the airport was in no way affected by the incident.
The statement says the fire has been brought under control by the combined efforts of the Fire Fighting Service of the GACL and the Ghana National Fire Service and concludes by saying that "investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing".
