Solid FM Shut Down For Owing Gh50,000?

According to a very close source, Solid FM, a Kumasi based radio has been shut down by Vodafone for not paying them for hosting their transmitter on their pole. On Wednesday, one Isaac Kojo Bediako reported on facebook that Solid FM has been shut down for owing the telecommunication giants Vodafone an amount of Gh50,000.

He wrote “Kumasi based local radio station Solid 103.7 fm formerly known as KFM has been shut down due to non-payment of Electricity power consumed bills.”

He added that management of the station approached Vodafone to pay GH20,000 on Wednesday after the station was shut down and pleaded for them to be put back on air but Vodafone did not heed to their plea.
