Former Olympic cyclist Victoria Pendleton will ride??Pacha Du Polder in the Foxhunters Chase at the Cheltenham Festival this month.
Pendleton's ride was confirmed on Monday and comes just over a year after she took up racing following a superb career in cycling.
The 35-year-old, who won two Olympic gold medals in??her time on two wheels, claimed victory on??Pacha Du Polder at Wincanton last week and will look for more joy on the same mount on March 18.
"Being part of the Cheltenham is like being at the Olympics," Pendleton, who??fell while on board Supreme Danehill at Kingston Blount on Saturday,??said.
"By no means was this an easy decision to make and I have spent a lot of time thinking how I would handle this wonderful opportunity.
"There are lots of risks but I feel I am capable of being part of the race.
"I wouldn't have made the decision without the support of the team around me and I would like to thank them and the jockeys who have publicly supported me.
"I am so grateful and I feel very blessed to have been given this opportunity."
