Glasgow Warriors recorded a third Pro12 win on the bounce as a dominant first-half showing saw them claim a 27-20 home victory over Cardiff Blues.

The visitors were fresh from a surprise 23-13 triumph against Ulster, but were outplayed before the interval as the Warriors led 20-0 by the break.

A determined showing in the second period did secure a losing bonus point for the Blues, as Dan Fish, Ellis Jenkins and Macauley Cook crossed late on.

Duncan Weir sent an early penalty sailing between the posts before converting Gordon Reid's try, which followed prolonged Glasgow pressure.

Weir added another three points before Tim Swinson touched down on the stroke of half-time to put the hosts in complete control.

Rhys Patchell's penalty finally got the Blues off the mark just before the hour, while Fish raced onto the end of a kick through to add five more points eight minutes from time.

Simone Favaro immediately hit back for the hosts, with Weir adding the extras, but the Welsh side managed to finish with a flourish as Jenkins went over and then Cook's try was converted to salvage a bonus point.
