We need Ghanaians to support us in the next game - Christian Atsu.

Newcastle and Ghana winger still pleads for the support of the Black Stars after the team's drew 1-1 with Congo.

Once again, the Ghana Black Stars has fallen out of favor with Ghanaians after a disappointing home 1-1 draw with Congo.

The Black Stars will still seek to try and book a place in the 2018 World Cup as the side failed to take advantage of the life line which was given to the side the day before.

Egypt were beaten by Uganda which made the group wide open. That result in Kampala on the 31st of August gave Ghana the permutation to probably win all their games and that mathematically will see Ghana end atop of the pile in Group E

The window of the Star’s World Cup destiny being put in their own hands was once again shut after the result in Kumasi.

Atsu gave his view of the crowd’s reaction after the game.

“We the players understand that we let the players down at this point in time but we also want them to know that we were fighting for them and it did not go well.” We need them to support us in the next game and then we will see what happens.”

Atsu also referred to the bad form of the players as just a bad phase the team was going through and not lack of passion or desire.

“I do not believe what people think of us is true. We are ready to fight for the nation bad the Black Stars are just going through a bad phase. In life there are bad and good moments and this a bad moment the Black Stars are going through. “We are still fighting to let things happen”

Ghana are now 3rd on top of Congo with with 2 points with 3 games to go. Uganda and Egypt with 7 and 6 points respectively will definitely be favorites to make it from here onwards in Group E
