Mourihno reportedly signs five-year Manchester United deal

Jose Mourinho has reportedly agreed a five-year deal with Manchester United after being sacked by Premier League Champions Chelsea.

Spanish news outlet Fichajes reports that Jose Mourinho has been given the nod to take be manager at the Manchester club, a job he reportedly missed out on earlier when Sir Alex Ferguson retired.

Fichajes however stressed that the news is yet to be made official writing:

“Several media and journalists close to Portuguese Jose Mourinho say the technician has agreed a deal with Manchester United for the next five years, the news is not yet official.”

The Portuguese coach has heavily been linked with the Old Trafford job since his sack and Louis van Gaal’s poor form is fueling the rumours.

Manchester United are without a win in six games and Dutchman Van Gaal is feeling the heat from fans with Jose Mourinho’s sack and Pep Guardiola announcing his departure from Bayern Munich at the end of the season.

Louis van Gaal’s side take on Stoke City away from home on Boxing Day before hosting Jose Mourinho’s former club Chelsea next Monday.
