Delinquency among children can be curbed by sharing the word of God with them, says the Executive Director of the Grande Oak Bridge Montessori School, Lekki, Royeke Obalade.

Obalade said this this during the school's end of the year concert/graduation for the 2014/2015 academic session.

According to her, adding religious education to the regular academic activities will go a long way in moulding students' characters.

“Childhood delinquency is very true. I am a Christian and as much as we do not enforce our religion on people, we make use of that opportunity to groom the children in the way of God," she said.

"For instance, we pray every morning and share the words of God with the children because I believe it is the only way to stop juvenile delinquency.

Obalade said failing to check students with the word of God gives them a leeway to delinquency.

“If you don’t share the words of God with them, you later find out that because you have taken that words of God out of the school, you see them going out to do whatever they like.”

gathered that the head girl of the school, Amy Olafusi, emerged the overall best student of the 2014/2015 academic session.
