Many have since argued that his predicament could have been spiritual as he started shouting while rubbing his eyes when he sat behind the paper.
The eyes of the student, named Bernard Opoku turned yellowish with tears flowing down his cheeks.
This made it impossible for him to read what had been written on the paper, the Daily Guide reports.
The incident brought the examination temporarily to a halt as the candidates were mostly focused on their colleague.
Teachers subsequently prayed for Opoku and fortunately he was able to open his left eye but not the right one.
The District Chief Executive of Atiwa, Kwabena Nkansah Pannin, who had tthen visited the school with the District Education Director, I.K. Okyere, ordered the teachers to send Opoku to the hospital after writing the paper.
