A spokesman for
Mustapha Hamid, who is an Islamic lecturer at the Cape Coast University, made the comments on Joy FMâs Newsfile on Saturday.
âIf you are a government that have had the mandate of the people of Ghana for the past nearly eight years, and then you come and launch a campaign to ask for four more years, we would expect that you will provide us a solid record of achievement for the past eight years because a ruling government fight election on it record, Not necessarily on manifesto," Hamid said on Saturday.

Hamid further described as âsadâ insulting comments from government officials during the campaign launch of the NDC.
âI followed some of the comments on radio and I was sadden by the entire event that happened in Cape Coast,â he said. âThe campaign launch was an exercise in futility.
