Incredibly, he lands on his feet with the ball in close proximity, presenting him the simple task of tapping home the most outrageous goals.

We’ve watched this goal on a loop for the past half an hour, and we’re still utterly baffled at how it happened.

Columbine striker Dylan Prichett-Ettner is our protagonist, racing onto a long punt through the middle, only to lurch into an impromptu somersault to avoid a collision with the opposition goalkeeper.

That he did, but there was another twist. Although his near-collision with the goalkeeper was deemed legal, the linesman – harshly, in our opinion – had his flag up for offside.

Still, at least Prichett-Ettner can claim he scored the greatest disallowed goal in football history…
