The officer, named Constable Stella Acheampongmaa Dubie was found dead in her room last Saturday.

The Asawinso Police Commander, DSP Richard Boahen, told the media that the deceased did not report to duty and so a search was conducted.

"Her lifeless body was however found in her room after it was forced open by the police. We are yet to find out the cause of death", he added.

The body has since been deposited at the Sefwi Asawinso government hospital for autopsy pending further investigation.
