Ghanaian reggae/dancehall artiste,
Speaking on Arts in View on Radio XYZ, the âAvatarâ hit maker said the intention was to make him easily accessible to the public through online search engines.
âIt was quite hard for people to find me. âEpisodeâ is not a word I created. Itâs already in the dictionary but I took it because of who I wanted to be. I was doing so many things so I took that name to qualify all. But now it is a brand and business-wise, itâs quite hard. If you go online and search âEpisodeâ, you get movies and books. It was just a brilliant idea that my team had to sit and replace the âsâ with âxââ he said.
Confronted with the question of why his Facebook ID is still âAm Episodeâ instead of âEpixodeâ, the artiste said the team is facing challenges because of regulations of Facebook.
âI put up a post that weâre having difficulties in changing the Facebook name. Facebook is not giving us the chance. So there is a new page, âEpixodemusicâ that we have created. We are yet to merge them so we donât lose numbers,â he noted.
Epixode is known for hit songs like Mandela, Tonight, Goodbye, Sinners Prayer and Avatar.
