'Fifty Shades of Grey' is here, and as expected, the BDSM movie is dominating.
The highly-anticipated film, which was released on Friday, February 13, 2015, is expected to gross over $100m at the box office on its debut weekend, and it is fast on it's way to achieving that.
According to Hollywood Reporter, the movie which has been premiered in over 34 markets, has grossed a two-day foreign total of $28.6 million.
In Argentina, it had the biggest opening day of all time with $1 million. On Wednesday, it opened in France to $2.7 million.
Fifty Shades also had a top opening day in Brazil, Italy and Russia; Brazil ($2.4 million), Italy ($2 million), Mexico ($2.1 million) and Russia ($2.3 million).
The movie premiered in North America on Thursday night with a whooping $8.6 million, beating Fast and Furious 6 to become Universal's highest-grossing late night preview ever.
The Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy has sold over 100 million copies worldwide and translated into more than 50 languages.
In 2013 Forbes named EL James the worldâs highest-earning author of 2012.
