Man accused of biting the head off a live rat and posting the video online has appeared in court. Mirror UK reported.
Matt Maloney or ‘Mad Matt’ was arrested after allegedly biting a rat's head off and then washing it down with three shots of vodka.
Maloney was later arrested and charged with animal cruelty by RSPCA investigators after posting the video online in January.
Responding to angry comments posted online, he wrote: "'The rat in the video was a feeder rat and was always going to die.

"I fed the body to my snake after the video and it wasn't wasted (I like to share),' Maloney posted to Facebook, attempting to justify his actions."
Mr Maloney later removed the controversial video but it has since been reposted, reports the Brisbane Times.
Inspectors raided the 24-year-old's home and seized 17 rats and a python, Brisbane Magistrates Court heard.
The case has been adjourned to April 7
