Technology has made the world so small that there is hardly any hiding place for criminals.

A twitter user @KwadwoBonnah1 posted the development on Twitter and called on users to circulate the information until the perpetrator was found.

“This thief drove off immediately after my friend showed her the MacBook she was selling. Kindly retweet to help us find this thief. Car: Hyundai Elantra GS 2671-18” he posted on January 4.

Interestingly, the following day @KwadwoBonnah1 returned to twitter to express gratitude to the users for helping recover the lost MacBook.

“Thank you, family, here. The thief called my friend some few minutes ago after leaving the MacBook at a fuel station for her to go for it. I appreciate your kind gesture of sharing the video a lot. Bless you, all! Social media get results. We have the MacBook now!” tweeted @KwadwoBonnah1.

Well, social media may be harmful but it could also be a saviour sometimes.
