A group of tourist were treated to a rare sight when they spotted a calf with pink skin drinking and bathing with its mother and herd at the Shingwedsi River.
The photographer of the exceptional spectacle, 58-year old Nick Coertze said he has never seen anything like that in his life since he had been visiting park since a child. And thus, felt obliged to take as many pictures as possible.
Albinism is a genetic disorder which is caused by a lack of pigment in the skin. This condition also causes reduced vision which may lead to blindness. As with humans, animals also often reject their kind with such unusual appearances.
But the story of this little fighter is certainly different. It appears that its herd has accepted and cares for it. Watch this extremely unusual sight below and don’t forget to share with your friends.
