What you see is what you get, right? Well, that's not always the case. Today, dermatologist Sandra Lee, MD, a.k.a. Dr. Pimple Popper , tackled what looked like a standard-issue dilated pore of winer in her latest Instagram video. Yes, it was big, dark, and ominous, but it's basically a giant blackhead.
But lo and behold, it turns into something way more messy and satisfying once Dr. Pimple Popper gets to work. It's possible you've seen this one before, as the doc explains in the caption: "Today is Thursday, THROWBACK THURSDAY! #drpimplepopper" It is helpful to know what day it is tbh.
If you haven't seen this particular pop previously, prepare yourself. It's a dilated pore of winer on the surface, yes. However, hiding below there is a massive cyst just waiting to explode. "It's like a never-ending one here," Dr. Pimple Popper says as she squeezes.

The first squeeze only shows the DPOW. The dark bit emerges with a stream of white gunk following behind. Then, Dr. Pimple Popper keeps digging. She unearths a massive cyst that's ready to explode under the pimple. One fan commented, "Ooh that looks chewy."
Finally, the end and bottom of the cyst is in sight. Dr. Pimple Popper squeezes every last bit out, cleans it up with tweezers, and cuts away the cyst sac. Phew, all that's left is a giant, gaping hole in her wake.
