Extra dark green kale tastes very good as smoothies and if you don’t like kale or don’t have any on hand, totally swap it for some chard or spinach. You can use fresh fruit, but frozen is fine too. If you want it extra cold, use 1 cup of ice or use frozen fruit in place of fresh.

1 1/2 cups coconut water (or filtered water)1 large ripe pear1 medium ripe banana1 orange, peeled and any seeds removed1 cup pineapple chunks8 medium kale leaves1 cup ice
Directions
For high speed blender: Place ingredients in blender in the order listed. Start on low, turning to high until totally blended.
For regular blender: Puree coconut water and kale. Add the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
Makes about 5 1/2 cups, or 2-3 large servings
