Painted in 1927 'Troops Going to the Front' was inspired by a photograph taken by FJ Mortimer 10 years earlier.
According to Lydia Wingfield-Digby, an art specialist at Sotheby's where the painting would be auctioned, the artwork is a really rare piece of artwork by Winston Churchill.
"'He was a prolific artist but would paint to relieve himself from the political pressures. He would normally paint views while on holiday to switch off so only a few pieces depict war." - she added.
