Henrik Stenson and Phil Mickelson have been warned to prepare themselves for a "dangerous" challenge as they battle it out for the Claret Jug on Sunday.
The Open's leading duo go out at 1435BST with the Swede one shot ahead and Mickelson in turn five clear of third-placed Bill Haas.
Colin Montgomerie, who teed off the first and final rounds at Royal Troon, said the pair would have to keep an eye on the chasing pack as the conditions were making life tough.
"They can't be playing match play from word go because suddenly somebody could creep up on them because it is dangerous out there," said the Scot.

"The front nine isn't as easy as it's been throughout the week. Every hole is a crosswind, even on the back nine, so it's even making it more difficult.
"You're not going to see sort of 31, 37s really. You're going to see more two more even halves.
"So it will be a good battle. But you've got to remember the guys behind them can still play."
This was Montgomerie's first appearance at the Open since 2010, having been one of the last to qualify for the 145th edition of golf's oldest major.
He concedes, though, that this was likely his farewell to the event as he signed off with a 76.
He added: "You've got to be realistic and think that it might well be the last time I'm here at an Open, and I'd love to think it won't be, but, it might well be.
"It's good to finish with six pars there."
None of those to wrap up their rounds before midday managed to shoot below par, though Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler and Lee Westwood were two under through seven, five and four respectively.
