Champ takes swipe of rival, Gatlin after 100m win in Beijing

Usain Bolt says his win in Beijing where he beat drug cheat Justin Gatlin shows you can win 'clean'

Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt has taken a swipe at rival Justin Gatlin, saying that his World Championships 100m gold medal winning race shows that it is possible to win 'clean'.

Bolt was referring to Gatlin's drug cheat cases which had him banned on two cases. Bolt beat Gatlin after running 9.79sec.

"I’ve shown the world that it is possible to do it clean," Bolt said.

"I’ve always pushed myself. For me, it’s just about hard work and dedication. I’ve been doing it for years. Just focus and work hard,"

Going into the race, Gatlin was in his form of his life, running 9.77sec in the semi-final while Bolt was very much slower.

Bolt however said he didn't have any doubt about himself heading in to the finals against Gatlin.

"I never doubt myself," Bolt said.

"I know my ability. It wasn’t a perfect race but I got it done. I definitely think this was my hardest race. I’ ve been through a lot this season, it’s been rough and Justin been running great showing up running fast times. I knew it wouldn’t be easy."
