The 10 men who attacked Pakistani child activist and Nobel Peace prize winner, Malala Yousafzai have been sentenced to life in prison.
The then 15-year old Yousafzai had been shot in the head while she was on board her school bus in the Swat valley, Mingora in October 2012, the attack also left 2 of her classmates injured.
She was treated for her injuries in the UK and currently lives in Birmingham with her family as they are unable to return to Pakistan because of Taliban death threats.
Ataullah Khan, a 23-year-old Pakistani Taliban militant, was identified by a police report at the time of the shooting as a chief suspect, but according to BBC, he does not appear in the list of the 10 men convicted on Thursday.

Last October, Yousafzai became the youngest person ever to win the Nobel Peace prize as she was announced as the co-recipient of award for her struggle against the suppression of children and young people and for the right of all children to education.
