Speaking to reporters, the president of the mosque, Mehdi Osmanlı said nobody was hurt.
The Turkish embassy spokesperson- Yaşar Çolak, the Religious affairs Counselor at Turkey's Embassy in Washington, who visited the scene said "We are investigating whether the attack was motivated by Islamophobia."
Adding that ‘It is early to make a comment on this at this moment, but if we come to such a conclusion, we will take the necessary steps.’
