Majeed Waris has explained the reason why he chose to join FC Nantes, despite offers from other interested parties.
He indicated that his quest to get more playing time made him settle on Nantes.
"I don't have a preferred position, I just want to score goals," Waris, who can play on either flank and as a hitman, said at his official unveiling.
"I wanted to play more, to improve, hence my choice to come to Nantes."
Majeed Waris was declared surplus to requirement by FC Porto’s new manager, after struggling to find his feet in the Portuguese topflight league.
