Akowuah for the past month has heavily been linked with a move to the Lubumbashi based club following his exploits for the Tarkwa based club in the ongoing Ghana Premier League and the CAF Confederation Cup.

"I’m ready to join TP Mazembe and I pray that the negotiations with my bosses work out well. TP Mazembe are a big club in Africa and their officials spoke to me after our game against them. It is every player’s dream to move on so if this chance has come I will take it. Also, it will help my club to raise funds.” Akowuah said.
