Mahama tours Eastern Region; cuts sod for road construction

President John Mahama will today cut sod for the rehabilitation works on a number of urban and feeder roads in the Eastern Region under the cocoa roads rehabilitation programme.

Government has set aside $150 million for the programme which cuts across all the cocoa growing regions of the country.

Separate ceremonies are scheduled for Kyebi and Adeiso to signify the start of work across the Eastern region.

President Mahama in his State of the Nation Address in 2015, listed a number of roads that were to be improved under the cocoa roads programme.
