Thieves broke into the dressing room of the Ghana Premier League champions, Ashgold and took away several items belonging to some of the players.

The Miners as part of their pre-season preparation engaged Bechem United on Sunday at the Bechem Park and lost by a goal to nil, courtesy Francis Afriyie’s goal.

However, thieves broke into their dressing room and took away phones and monies belonging to some of their players.
Players who were victims of the theft case were Joseph Atobisa, Amos Addai, Hudu Yakubu, Anthony Yarful and Daniel Addo.
The Ghana Premier League which has been on break since the 2014-15 season ended in September will finally commence on 20Â February, 2016 and this is a big sigh of relief to the clubs.
Ashgold will be playing against M.O Bejaia next month in the CAF Champ ions League.
