Anas Aremeyaw Anas has refused to comment on the judicial scandal with international media organizations

Ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas says he has told the international media including, the BBC and Aljazeera that his expose’ of the corruption in Ghana’s judiciary is a domestic affair and he will not want to comment on it outside the shores of Ghana.

Anas speaking in an interview with Kumasi-based radio station, Nhyira FM, he said, “I think that it is really a home affair and also the fact that I'm before the committee I don't think that it makes sense to be talking to the international media. I haven't done that in Ghana so I can't see myself commenting on this.

“It is true that 34 judges have all been suspended but I'm unable to give further comments on this issue because I am before a committee that is hearing the matter and I didn’t want to say anything that will prejudice the work of the committee.

"And out of respect for the judicial process, we have to let the process go on. Then at the end of the day we would be able to know who is saying what,” he added.

Meanwhile, two Justices of the Superior Court will appear before the Criminal Investigations Department for interrogation today.

The Justices appearance before the CID comes after two others appeared yesterday.

It is unclear which of them will appear for interrogation today But Captain Nkrabeah Effah Dartey has indicated that his client Justice Ayisi Addo has received an invitation from the police.
