He had moment during his football career which got everybody on their feet applauding for him, so David Beckham would never have expected getting that kind of reaction from just catching a stray tennis ball.

That is exactly what happened at the Wimbledon on Thursday, July 9 during a men's double match.

Backham caught hold of a stray ball which bounced from the court into the Royal Box where he was sitting and was appreciated for it.

The shy 40-year-old was however seemed to be embarrassed by the applauses as he smiled and raised his arm to acknowledge the cheers after throwing the back back into the court.

The former Manchester United star attended the game with his mum Sandra who was sitting next to her.

Beckham looked dapper in a ark suit as he sat at the Royal Box enjoying the matches at Wimbledon.
