Talented Ghanaian actress Emelia Brobbey has admitted that the reason why her marriage collapsed was because she did not keep a good company of friends.

She said the friends she deemed trustworthy went behind her and gave false information to her husband saying she has been engaging in extra-marital activities which infuriated her ex-husband to divorce her.

Speaking on Accra-based UTV, the actress said, her husband Dr. Kofi Adu Boateng whilst seeking the divorce along with a host of other reasons cited promiscuity as one of the reasons for the dissolution.

The award-winning actress said her husband acting upon the false information fed to him by her friends blamed her for the collapse of their marriage.

She admitted that all the rumours about her were false and has proved to be a huge lesson that in life one should not completely trust those closest to them.
