The Ghanaian club finished rock bottom of the Ghana Premier League in the 2016/2017 season and that was attributed to the facing some difficulties during the season.

The CEO of the club confirmed the sale of the club as he did tell Radio XYZ that club needed to sell the club due to financial constraints.

"Yes we have sold the club. Youknowtheproblemsweface in thispart of theregion. The problem that we faced when we qualify to the premier division is still persisting here so we thought it is financially wise to release the club to somebody so that we wouldn’t have to suffer for the rest of the season."
