Bawumia donates cash to bereaved family

Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Monday donated an undisclosed amount of money to the family of late broadcaster, Kwadwo Asare Baffuor Acheampong, popularly known as KABA.

The delegation had visited to mourn with the bereaved family and solicit official information about KABA’s death.

The Vice President assured the family that the government will support the funeral of the late broadcaster.

The delegation also signed a Book of Condolence that has been opened at the late broadcaster’s residence.

Scores of Ghanaians, including politicians, veteran journalists, and friends have been eulogizing the late broadcaster since the news of his death broke.

Many have described him as one of the best and professional journalists Ghana has ever had.

KABA was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital where he had been rushed after he suddenly fell sick early Saturday, November 18.

He was 37 years old.

He is survived by his wife, Valentina Ofori Afriyie and a seven-month-old baby.
