Bismarck Abanga becomes the 22nd person arrested in connection with the gruesome murder of the military officer.

He was reportedly arrested by the police when he returned to Denkyira-Obuasi from his hideout on September 14, 2017.

The police are still hunting for 11 people who are also suspected to have killed Major Mahama.

Major Mahama was on a national assignment at Denkyira-Obuasi, when on May 29, this year, he was lynched by some residents, who allegedly mistook him for an armed robber because he had a pistol in his back pocket.

The mob ignored his persistent plea that he was an officer of the Ghana Army.
