But President Mahama in an interview with Uniiq FM said, "We will take immediate steps to resolve the issues at the Accra Psychiatric Hospital... I will talk to the Health Minister to understand what the issues are so they are resolved."

The authorities started repatriating over 300 patients on Monday, October 31, in a bid to decongest the facility to enable it feed and give care to the lean number that remain.

The hospital is struggling to operate smoothly compelling nurses to start an indefinite strike to protest the indecent conditions at work.

Meanwhile, the striking nurses have cautioned government against the disjointed solutions to their concerns.
